First, I am curious a...I have a couple of comments. First, I am curious about what specific research you are referring to. What are your sources? Second, the first reason on this list does not seem to be a valid reason for an elective C/S. It is simply a factual statment - there are no guarantees in pregnancy. Finally, according to an article by Michael Malloy, MD in Birth journal, "Recent reports also indicate that low-risk term infants delivered by primary cesarean section compared with vaginal delivery appear to be at higher risk for neonatal mortality." A study published in 2006 and one in 2008 support this statement. <BR/><BR/>I am all for empowering women and giving women choices. Objective pros and cons that educate women to make decisions that are right for them and their family should be a top priority.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
